Is your website responsive? Does it look good and re-format based on what device it’s seen – tablet, smart phone, laptop, ipad, desktop? If it’s not you’d better start preparing to have it changed ASAP. As of April 21st, Google is launching its new mobile-friendly algorithm that is being called Mobilegeddon.

What does that mean for you? In a nutshell, if your website is not mobile-friendly now (what is called a “responsive”website), it is estimated you will lose ALL rankings in mobile search results in Google.

What do you need to do? First, check your site here to see if your site and all its pages are mobile-friendly. If your site is not responsive, then you need to update your site to make it mobile-friendly and responsive as soon as possible in order to avoid losing all Google rankings. You work hard to create a brand, Google rankings, etc. Don’t lose all that momentum because your site is not responsive.

How do you make your site responsive? Contact me. We can work on a new site for you. If the theme or design you’re using now is not responsive, you need to upgrade.

I’m not one prone to dramatics, nor do I over-exaggerate, so please understand that this is not a ploy for you to spend money. This is important for you to maintain a high Google search rating and not lose any momentum in your online presence.

If you’re interested in reading more about Mobilegeddon, then you can do so here at Google’s website.
